Next meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for July 19th. I really want to try out the 5-second tests, but I just don't have the time to coordinate that. Anyone else up for it?

Karen talked about demonstrating a few PDF tricks. I'd like to see that on the agenda (such as we have) and I'm going to try out a content brief next week so I can report back on how that went and show you my example.

Still in Walter

Sorry, gang but I'm swamped and never got arrange for a different room. Most of you offered laptops or responded to my request. You guys are so great.

Neither Alan or I will be able to be at the meeting. I hope you can get the wireless to work and try out the 5-second testing. And that someone will post here about how it went.

meetings

We're on for meeting in 101 Walter Library from noon - 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:

  • May 17
  • June 21
  • July 19
  • August 16

No agendas have been set. This is a pretty open group. Please bring whatever you'd like to share. We can critique, brainstorm, share stories, and share resources. If there's something you'd like others to look at first, you can post it here. Or let me know and I'll send out an e-mail.

I'd be interested in hearing what Joyce's experience has been so far using the portal, if Evelyn has found a source for content, and what the rest of you are up to. I also think it would be interesting to share something we've had to re-write for the Web.

Welcome

Hi everyone. Please feel free to post and/or comment depending on your mood and permission level. If you'd like to be able to post your own entries please contact Kristeen at bullwink@umn.edu. We'd prefer that you were a member of the Communicator's Forum, but it isn't required for now.

I'll try to post at least once a month. Knowing me, it'll probably be references to things I've read and liked.

I'd like to see us post questions, make suggestions, ask for help, and inform each other of what we're up to in our roles as Web writers, designers, editors, etc.
