I began this blog when I was first accepted into the M.Ed. program in the summer of 2004, thinking I would write mostly about accessibility and technologies like XML that can be used to transform content into formats for specific user needs.
Now I'm starting CI 5336: Planning for Multimedia Design and Development, which looks like it's going to be more about instructional design. Instruction design appears to be a process for transforming a set of desires, goals, objectives and expectations into an educational experience that is meaningful to students.
So, Tranzform will continue to be my platform.
This blog will be about:
Content Management - The task of managing pieces of content in preparation for their transformation into a useful solution for users.
Multimedia Design - I'm in the M.Ed./professional studies program, Curriculum and instruction: instructional systems and technology, Multimedia Design and Development (http://education.umn.edu/SPS/programs/ins/IST-curr.htm)
Accessibility - Presenting content to all users, including those with physical, visual, and cognitive impairments.
