Good Morning: I hope you have all had a good week. Today's welcome rain will prevent September from being one of the driest on record. Extension Climatologist Mark Seeley predicts that the first half of October will be wet and temperatures will be mild into December due to the El NiƱo onset. So much for the weather; a few other items to share this week:

Budgets: I am pleased to report that budgets in all of our counties have been accepted as recommended by the County Extension Committees. This is significant in this difficult budget year, and reflects the value that our Counties place on the excellent Extension Programming that happens in the counties.

The Land Magazine: An example of great programming was featured in the most recent issue of the Land Magazine. You can read the cover page article.

Redwood County relocation: The long awaited relocation of the Redwood County Extesnion office is now scheduled for October 9. Redwood County has constructed a Government Service Center. Many of the departments currently located in the County Courthouse will relocate to the new Government Center. In addition, a Boardroom and an additional conference room have also been constructed. This project has not gone without challenges. However, for Extension, the office space and location will be a welcome improvement.

Enjoy the weekend.

Bob
