University YMCA Metro Internship

ETHICAL LEADERSHIP, INTERCULTURAL AWARENESS, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
Developing ethical leaders for 37 years

A DIFFERENT KIND OF INTERNSHIP

The University YMCA Metro Internship Program has thrived since 1970 because of its unique focus on ethical leadership and its high standards for interns and placements. Our interns have gone on to become CEOs, Senior VPs, and business owners who lead their organizations with the ethical standards learned at the University YMCA.

Through weekly readings, speakers, and discussion, students are challenged to question the way organizations are led, as well as their own personal leadership.

Simultaneously, they explore these issues while working with leaders in a local corporation. This unique combination not only helps the interns to become better and more ethical leaders, but allows the people they work with to critically examine their own leadership and that of their organization.
