
Abinasir was born in Somalia and came to U.S. in 2000. He graduated from Edison High School in 2003 at the top 10% of his graduating class. He has received many scholarships including the Wallin Scholarship, Mall of America Scholarship, and Cargill Scholarship. He has also won several awards during his college career.
Abdinasir started his freshman year at the U of M in Fall 2003. During his 4 years at the U of MN he has worked with many student organizations including the Wallin Scholars Student Organization, Stock Traders, and the Somali Student Organization. In 2006, he served as a Community Advisor for the Multicultural Kickoff and later at a one of the dorms. In May 07 Abdinasir graduated from the Carlson School of Management with an B.S.B. degree in Finance and Marketing and started his own company called UniFersal.com, a company that allows anyone in the world to sell, buy, and even rent properties and items online. College students can also sell, buy, and swap books for free.
The purpose of the company is to connect buyers and sellers from all over the world. UniFersal is pronounced similarly to universal except for the emphasis on the letter “F.� The emphasis is due to the company’s core, which is providing free networking around the world. With the number of members growing daily coupled with the advanced interactive tools on the website, UniFersal.com is reinventing the online marketplace while making it more exciting and effective.
