Friday Random Top 10

Jake Peavy turns down the Whiteys. Which is good for the Twins. At least the Sox are trying to improve their team, what are the Twins doing? I get to see a minor league pitcher tomorrow start against the Brew Crew. Can't wait. Last year it was Livan and Boof so I guess Obama is making changes. Here's a random top 10:

1. Girl, You'll be a Woman Soon -- Neil Diamond
2. Serious Bird Woman -- Robert Pollard
3. Length of Love -- Interpol
4. Master of Puppets -- Metallica
5. I Love You So Much It Hurts -- Ray Charles
6. Spirit Road -- Neil Young
7. Return of the Grievous Angel -- Gram Parsons
8. Shakespeare's Sister -- The Smiths
9. I'm Gonna Make You Mine -- Hypstrz
10. Blue Green Arrow.

Bonus: Without a Trace -- Soul Asylum

Not a bad mix, Return of the Grievous Angel is always a fave. Good to see a little old school Metallica too. What's your top 10?

I'm glad to see Peavy stay put. I hate it when pitchers leave for mega contracts to payroll heavy behemoths like the Wankees. That said, what would you give us for Eric Bedard? (;

I've heard the Uncle Tupelo version of Atomic Power, not the Louvin Bros. Also Big Mac, didn't know Trail of the Dead covered GBV.

Twins need bullpen help but so does everyone. Maybe it makes sense to take a struggling starter off someone's team and convert him to a reliever.

How 'bout the Mets trade you Oliver Perez for that catcher of yours? No way he's going to stay that hot--sell high!

I'm getting my first taste of Bowie tonight at First Avenue - http://www.first-avenue.com/event/2570/rebel-rebel-rock-pussy-vi-musical-tribute-david-bowie

Can't wait!!!

Free, I didn't know Trail of Dead was doing a GBV cover until the original popped up on one of your lists a while ago.

free, where did you find that pic of Paul W??

I took that pic. It's Paul with my then 1 year old son. Taken in 1996 at a backyard fundraiser.
