URGENT CARP GAME NEWS
Dear Carp Fans,
It seems that we need to get to the stadium earlier than I had thought…it’s a VERY popular game!
A colleague of mine said that since it is likely that the game will be sold out, we need to enter as soon as the doors open. Otherwise we may have to stand for the entire game!
So, here is the revised schedule:
Meet at Gagaraguchi to take the 12:54 bus.
Meet near Hiroshima Carps’ Stadium (see map on the website at: http://blog.lib.umn.edu/cassl001/Carps/ ) at 16:30.
I am sorry for all of the changes, but we surely would like to have seats at the game!
For those who have asked, after the game there is a bus at 23:45 for us to take back to Hiroshima University. It departs from the Sogo Bus Center right next to the baseball park.

Bus & Meeting Information
Hello Baseball Fans!
I hope that you were able to get a ticket and are ready to cheer! If this is your first time to the Carps game, please know that limited food and drinks are sold at the park, but you may also bring in your own food!
TO MEET AT HIROSHIMA UNIVERSITY
If you are leaving from Hiroshima University, then let’s meet at Gagaraguchi bus stop to take the bus that leaves at 15:24.
You can pay for the bus in the following ways:
1. Buy a discounted RT ticket from the University Coop shop for Y1360.
2. Use a JR buscard or Yen to pay Y800 each way (Y1600).
Because of the bus schedule we’ll arrive early, but this will give us time to buy some food/drinks at Sogo’s before the game.
TO MEET IN HIROSHIMA CITY
We are meeting a little early so that we can try to get seats together as much as possible. It sounds like we are a large group!
Please meet as outlined below:

We are meeting near the entrance to the Y1500 tickets so we can get in line and stick together! There will be many people, talk a look around and you are sure to find us!

Tickets - Part Deux
There were some questions about the tickets...
Please buy your own ticket.
We will be in the general outfield area.
The ticket should cost 1500 Yen.
I will post information about the bus from Hiroshima to Hiroshima City by next week as well as where we should all meet for the game.
It's going to be a lot of fun!

I am coordinating for us to go to a game together on Saturday, July 9th.
Hiroshima Carps will play Tokyo Giants at 6:20pm.
I would love to have you come along!

We will sit in the exciting outfield area.

I will send you information about meeting at Hiroshima University to travel by bus (Y800 each way) to Hiroshima City.
