The Joy of Powder
Only those who partake in the sport of snowboarding can truly understand the feeling of carving on perfect powder. Even a smaller group has actually done it. For those of us who enjoy it and live in Minnesota, we live in a constant state of frustration. With its small hills and lack of snow Minnesota leaves a lot to be desired for the snowboard enthusiast. However we make due and you can find us thrashing where we can.
For true enjoyment of the sport one must leave the Midwest and escape to areas of higher elevation and precipitation. My personal favorite is a little place called Park City, Utah. In that small town you can find an amazing resort with a great selection of runs and parks. This year I am heading slightly north of there to Colorado. With this small insight into my tastes and joys I leave you, and next time you are shoveling snow and are about to curse in frustration remember some of us have been waiting all year for it.
