From Warrior to Citizen: a guide to greeting returning veterans
Nancy Sharbonno - whose father, husband and son are combat veterans - is participating in Warrior to Citizen Campaign efforts in St. Cloud, Minn. She and other St. Cloud residents are working to help people communicate better with veterans.
"In talking with my son and other soldiers who are back from the war zone, I have heard what I consider to be a good guide to consider when greeting our returning soldiers," wrote Sharbonno in an op-ed piece in the May 15 St. Cloud Times. Read Veterans are glad to hear ‘thanks.’
