Five girls took a stand
"Every now and again you see what people do and you say to yourself, 'Wow, I wish it wasn't like this,'" said Renae. "PA helped me realize that I do have a voice and I can be heard."
Renae and four other students produced a video about their Public Achievement team's work at Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. After researching discrimination and the effects of cliques at their school, they organized a mix-it-up at lunch day to break down barriers. They titled their video "Finding your voice at Wasson, " and facilitated discussions in their classes after it aired on their school-wide television channel. Check it out.
