National Scholarship Informational Meetings are Coming Up

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Campus application deadline: November 5, 2007

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship is an opportunity for outstanding undergraduates who intend to pursue graduate study and research-based careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering. Applicants must be SOPHOMORES or JUNIORS, U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents, with strong academic records; undergraduate research experience is a plus. The Goldwater Scholarship provides up to $7,500 per year toward undergraduate education. Freshman, sophomore, and junior students are encouraged to attend the program.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship is an opportunity for outstanding undergraduates who intend to pursue careers in government, education, the non-profit sector, or elsewhere in public service, and want to make a difference. Applicants must be JUNIORS, U.S. citizens or nationals, with strong academic records, and should be engaged in community service and/or political activism. The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 for graduate or professional school. Freshman, sophomore, and junior students are encouraged to attend the program.

Morris K. Udall Scholarship (Environmental focus)

The Morris K. Udall Scholarship is an opportunity for outstanding undergraduates currently in their SOPHOMORE or JUNIOR year who are EITHER:
• preparing for careers related to the environment (candidates may be of any ethnicity);
• Native American or Alaska Native students preparing for careers related to native health care or tribal policy.

Students must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents with strong academic records and a demonstrated commitment to environmental or tribal issues. The Udall Scholarship provides up to $5000 per year toward undergraduate education. Freshman, sophomore, and junior students are encouraged to attend the program. For further information, visit:
