The Guild of Metalsmiths exists to educate it's members and the community at large, about metalworking in general and blacksmithing in particular. This includes all forms of metalsmithing from traditional blacksmithing to contemporary art forms. The arts and trades of their members include, but are not limited to, general blacksmithing, sculpture, tinsmithing, coppersmithing, furniture making and architectural wrought iron; as well as bronze casting, knife making, jewelry, gold and silver smithing.

They offer classes starting from the very basic (I've never really held a hammer before) to the more intricate skills of the advance blacksmith and metal worker. Check them out over the summer, and watch for more information about their annual fall conference in September.
