225 Rapson Hall

Students who participated in the May term trip to Greece & Cyprus will
present the results of their work at Design@Noon on November 18.
Greece & Cyprus are related environments that are undergoing immense
architectural change. Since 1974, Cyprus has been divided by a UN
Buffer Zone, which encompasses hundreds of buildings from the 14th to
the 20th centuries. While in Cyprus, students studied these buildings
and considered their future. In Greece, examined the rich layers of
history from antiquity to the present. They visited urban, island, and
rural environments, confronting topics including tourism, restoration,
materials, the environment, modernity, technology, public space &
community life. The Greece/Cyprus M-term is led by Rachel Iannacone
and Nikolas Bakirtzis.
