We're more than test scores

One of my jobs this semester is a Teaching Assistant position with the Upward Bound-Trio Program. The class is for ACT preparation for high school students that want to do well on the standardized test. Although i'm a firm believer that standardized testing is wrong, I do however understand the reality and the importance of studying for it. I hate that the score that students receive may or may not determine which colleges that they get into. I think there are other aspect of student's portfolio that better represent their capabilities, but again in knowing the reality, I'm hoping to help students increase their ACT score through my position.
