NGOabroad Opportunities For Social Work Students

NGOabroad: International Careers & Volunteering is a unique service that
helps social workers enter or advance in international humanitarian work and
provides frugal, customized international volunteering.

NGOabroad has several opportunities to stretch your social work skills. Communities in
Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, or Cameroon are in need of good people. People who
have experience in sexual abuse or assault, in trauma work, and work with
youth are needed. Using sports, music, drama & dance as therapeutic
modalities will fit especially well as talk therapy is not a good fit in
African culture. There are also amazing opportunities in Chile and Bolivia
for youth workers, mental health workers, and those trained in counseling
torture victims.
