Friday, February 26, 2010
10:00 - 11:30 am
Continuing Education and Conference Center - Room 83
1890 Buford Avenue, U of M St. Paul Campus

"Building Bridges across General, Special, and Remedial Education to Improve Reading Outcomes for Kids"

Dr. Matt Burns' talk will focus on the gap that sometimes exists between general, special, and remedial education reading instruction in elementary schools. He will share research-validated strategies that schools have used to successfully streamline and integrate their special education and general education reading instruction so that students using both programs have been able to make substantial gains in their reading skills.

The event is free and open to the public. A private luncheon for the invited schools will follow.
