Thursday February 18, 3:35-4:30
135 Nicholson Hall
Learn from U of M faculty and staff about the Churchill, Marshall, Mitchell, Rhodes, and other prestigious scholarships for graduate study in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Applicants must be U.S. citizens (for the Rhodes Scholarship, citizens of some British Commonwealth countries may also apply) with exceptionally strong academic records. A GPA of 3.8 or higher is generally expected. Some of the scholarships have additional eligibility requirements. Institutional endorsement is required; students who are interested in being endorsed by the University for a scholarship to begin graduate study in Fall 2011 must submit a preliminary application by March 29, 2010. An instruction sheet explaining the campus nomination process andhow to submit an application will be available at the info panel, and thereafter from the University Honors Program office, 20 Nicholson Hall. Current sophomores and juniors are especially encouraged to attend this panel. More info at http://www.honors.umn.edu/scholarships/
