Spend the summer in the dirt...

You will garden, teach, and study at one of four school-based gardens in North Minneapolis:

• Plymouth Youth Center

• Phyllis Wheatley Community Center

• Hmong International Academy

• CityView Elementary

by taking CI 5540: Service Learning and Urban Science Education
The course is designed for undergraduates and will integrate theories of service learning and urban science education. You will work with elementary students to teach science through the context of gardening. No prerequisites required. Class will meet at University of Minnesota UROC building in North Minneapolis and at School based gardens. For more information email upadh006@umn.edu.
