Sportsmanship Internship

The Sportsmanship Internship is a Student Leader Position; as such it is not a paid position and therefore is not paid a salary or an hourly rate. The Sportsmanship Interns will receive a cash stipend.

TERM: April 19, 2010- April 22, 2011

The mission of the We Are.Minnesota Spirit Initiative is to lead the University of Minnesota community in fan participation, spirit, and behavior. The group is co-advised by Student Unions & Activities/Office for Student Affairs and the University of Minnesota Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Interns are responsible for convening a group of interested students, working with student spirit sections for men's hockey, men's basketball, and football, and initiating new traditions created by the council for all Gopher Sports teams. Interns will assist in planning, overseeing, implementing and evaluating the spirit initiative through the effective and efficient use of personnel, funding, resources, and campus services.
