MACS Internship Positions
The Minnesota Association of Charter Schools is seeking a part-time intern to
support its public policy work on education issues related to charter schools
in Minnesota. This is a voluntary position that will begin in August and go
through December 2010.
The public policy intern will play an important role in the Association's
preparations for the 2011 legislative session by providing substantial
administrative and research support. He/she will have the opportunity to learn
about public charter schools and the broad range of education policies that are
affecting public education in Minnesota.
The successful candidate will have strong oral communications, writing and
research skills, will exhibit creativity and innovative thinking, and will
demonstrate effective self-direction, including the ability to manage multiple
tasks. Applicants with a strong interest in non-partisan education public
policy and grassroots engagement are encouraged to apply.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT - Event & Communications Intern
The Minnesota Association of Charter Schools is seeking a part-time intern to
support its communications and event activities related to charter schools in
Minnesota. This is a voluntary position that will begin in August and go
through December 2010.
The event & communications intern will play an important role in the work of
the Association by providing consistent and outstanding administrative support
and by assisting in the creative development and execution of communications
and events initiatives. He/she will have the opportunity to learn about public
charter schools and the work of the Association by assisting with
communications and events that directly impact charter schools across the state
of Minnesota.
The successful candidate will have strong oral communications, writing and
research skills, will exhibit creativity and innovative thinking, and will
demonstrate the ability to take direction and to work collaboratively, as well
as the ability to manage multiple tasks. Applicants with a strong interest in
communications, public relations and event management are encouraged to apply.
