Project Legos Program Team

The programs team is an essential component of Project Legos' and plays an important
role in helping the organization successfully fulfill its mission. The programs team
ensures that Project Legos reaches its organization wide goals by completing duties
related to human resource management, program and community outreach, and
operations management. It is our goal to reach 7,000 young people by December 31,
2010 through youth programs, civic engagement, and Project 8 Youth Resource Center
and Leadership Institute; this cannot happen without a strong programs team.

Candidates who are interested in becoming team members during the summer of 2010
will be required to attend a Project Legos information session/interview. During the
session, candidates will have the opportunity to learn more about the Project Legos
mission, meet with current staff members, and gain a better understanding of how they
will contribute to Project Legos as a member of the programs team. In addition, these are
your opportunity to show the PL staff that you have a strong connection to our mission
and passion to be a part of the team that makes it happen.

Upcoming information session dates are:
− Monday April 12, 2010
− Friday, April 23, 2010
− Friday, April 30, 2010

Candidates chosen from information sessions must volunteer 10 hours with Project Legos between the info session attended and May 15th as well as attend the Footsteps March on May 15th. This will assure that each candidate has a clear idea of the mission and programming they would be a part of as well as give Project Legos staff a chance to
observe candidates interactions with young people and community entitites.

Selections will be made May 17th and training will commence that week for those chosen,
beginning the opportunity to make an immediate and lasting impact at Project Legos and
in our community.
