Louis Adams- Minnesota Twins Emerging Markets Intern

Business Marketing Education B.S

As the Emerging Markets Intern, what are some of your key responsibilities you have been charged with?

"I develop the monthly newsletter consisting of all the events that our department is involved with. That said, I also have the challenge of creating a majority of the events: finding sponsors, setting meetings and implementing tasks."

What have you learned this far from your internship experience that you have found to be the most valuable?

"I have learned that going the extra mile makes a significant difference from a good intern to a great intern. For example, taking initiative to tasks, coming to work early and staying late can show managers and decision makers that you are committed to your job. Internships can also be a great way to show employers how well you can work under pressure. Seek opportunities within your organization and ask questions of your supervisor."
