Minnesota Reading Corps and Math Corps

Minnesota Reading Corps and Math Corps tutors change worlds every single school year. In fact, they'll change 18,000 worlds in 2010-11 alone. These tutors work with students to help them achieve reading and math proficiency benchmarks critical for lifelong success. All while building valuable professional experience.

Get a kick start on your career while making a difference as either a Minnesota Reading Corps or Math Corps tutor! Every year, these two AmeriCorps programs place and train hundreds of tutors in preschools through junior high schools across the state. As one of these tutors, you'll use research-based instructional methods to help students become successful readers by third grade or algebra ready by eighth.

During your eleven-month service, you'll receive extensive training, support, and general professional development opportunities. In addition, you'll receive a modest living stipend, an education award of up to $5,550 and other benefits if eligible.
