Employer Recruitment Walk-in hours with Rise, Inc.
Monday, April 25th 2011
STSS Building room 411

Ashley Brueske, AmeriCorps member and representative for Rise, Inc, will be on-campus on Monday, April 25th to recruit for upcoming AmeriCorps positions with the organization.
Rise, Inc. uses the power of national service to assist Minnesotans with economic barriers to become more self-sufficient. Through the Minnesota Economic Opportunity Corps, AmeriCorps members at Rise, Inc. provide benefits planning assistance and competitive employment assistance to support individuals who have a wide array of self-sufficiency needs, from resume building and interviewing skills, to financial literacy courses and transportation resources.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in social services, career development and non-profit work.

Project participants include working age adults with physical disabilities, intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health and chemical health disabilities, refugees and immigrants, welfare recipients, homeless individuals, ex-offenders, veterans, displaced workers, and others who are seriously impacted by the current economy and benefit most from customized and one-on-one support. Nationwide, AmeriCorps members help solve community problems related to education, public safety, the environment, human needs, and homeland security by serving in nonprofit and faith-based organizations.
