Early Childhood Ed. Playgroup Leader/Intern
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with staff to plan early literacy and other activities for a weekly playgroup session
-Provide guidance and support for other playgroup volunteers
-Work one-on-one or with small groups of toddlers during playgroup sessions
-Help staff maintain a safe, productive, and fun program environment
-Demonstrate a commitment to youth through consistent attendance and encouragement
Qualifications:
-Ability to work with youth and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds and income levels
-Experience working or volunteering with young children
-Commitment to empower others through sharing your skills and knowledge
An application and background check are required.
Youth Literacy & Environmental Ed. Tutor/Mentor (Intern or Volunteer)
Responsibilities:
-Work one-on-one or with a small group of youth on gardening, environmental ed., and literacy activities
-Interested interns/volunteers are encouraged to contribute to curriculum design and activity planning
-Work with PPL staff to engage a greater number of PPL residents and community members in the gardening program
-Lead occasional large group activities
-Help staff maintain a safe, productive, and fun environment during sessions
-Demonstrate a commitment to youth in the program through consistent attendance and encouragement
