K-8 Teaching positions with WISE Charter School

WISE Charter School is a K-8 ele-middle school located in North Minneapolis, expanding to serve 360 students from 16 metro area school districts. The philosophy of WISE is based on the belief that each child is entitled to learn and develop in a positive, rich environment that promotes self- determination, self-respect and respect for their heritage. A mission driven institution,

WISE exists to ensure the academic and social development of students from underserved families and communities, with an emphasis on cultural awareness, academic achievement, and responsible citizenship.
We serve a high needs population of students with approximately 16% qualifying for special education services as well as a high number of highly mobile students that do not meet the State criteria for learning disabilities, but who present significant learning gaps. We believe that each child is capable of meeting high academic and social standards thus becoming knowledgeable, skilled, and confident citizens.

WISE Charter School is committed to a standards-based thematic program that integrates content, skills, process and activities appropriate to each child's stage of development and learning style with the support and participation of the family and community. WISE consistently enforces a rigorous academic program, code of conduct, dress code, and emphasizes personalized relationships among students, teachers, and families. We are looking for devoted educators who maintain high expectations for all students, are willing to hold students accountable, work collaboratively, are skilled in designing and delivering high quality units of study, are reflective about their practice, and who share our passion for children.

We are currently accepting applications for teachers. If this sounds at all interesting to you, please respond to humanresources@wiseschool.org with a resume, cover letter, and recommendation letters so that we can discuss the possibilities of you joining our team.
