MN Goes to Berlin Fellowship!
MN Goes to Berlin fellowship in brief:
The DAAD Center for German & European Studies has been working with Berlin elementary and secondary schools on a professional development / internship program for U of M students and Berlin teachers. The program has been around since 2008. Last year, we found a permanent partner at the Free University in Berlin in the education department. It has allowed us to put more emphasis on professional development aspects also for the U of M fellows. We will award up to 10 internship fellowships to U of M students from across the U of M system to assist as teacher's aides in Berlin classrooms.
It's a great opportunity for students to work closely with a full-time teacher in Germany.
German-language ability is desirable but not required. Fellows live with the teacher in whose classrooms they assist. A generous fellowship package ensures direct costs to the fellows are very reasonable.
Program dates are May 25-June 16. (Extended) Application deadline is Feb 11th!
