Career of the Week: Preschool Teacher

Do you love working with young children? Are your strengths patience and the ablity to explain new or different information in a way that young children can understand? If so, then preschool teaching may be your ideal career.


Preschool teachers often work with children aged 3-5 in helping them learn basic concepts in reading, speaking, and learning proper social skills. Preschool teachers work in a variety of work environments including schools, religious organizations, and child care centers. The profession is growing and projected to continue growing at a faster than average rate for most careers. If you are pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education Foundations and Elementary Education Foundations, this may be the perfect job for you!
