Bungalow C Newsletter
October 2012
Important Dates:
Happy Fall!
We are approaching conference season. The younger toddlers (C5) will be having conferences this month and older toddlers (C6) will have conferences in November. I will be sending out an email with more details as it gets closer.
A few general reminders:
As many of you know, Emily and her husband are expecting their first child at the end of October. Kim Reis, child care teacher, will be covering Emily’s leave and working with Gina in C5. Kim will be starting in Bungalow C on Monday, October 15th to spend time in the classroom before Emily goes on leave. Please introduce yourself and welcome Kim to the bungalow!
It has been great meeting all of you and I'm looking forward to spend more time in the classroom with the children this month!
Please let me know if you ever have any questions.

Toddlers & Illness
Unfortunately we often see more illness as the seasons change. We will do everything we can to keep this to a minimum, this includes:
What can you do?
“See you later, big Preschool friends!”
“Hello new Toddler friends!”
Can you help us? The children are finding an interest in our fall season. We have been taking notice outside of the things changing around us - smells, sounds, leaves, and animals. To extend the children’s hands on and sensory learning, we would like to ask if you could bring in any extra pumpkins, gourds, or apples to share within the classrooms. The teachers will use these items to introduce new vocabulary and help the children discover and explore new tactile and sensory experiences.
New Faces: We have a lot of Child Care Workers helping us this semester! We will be updating our CCW poster board out in the hallway and also using their pictures in the classroom for the children to get to know them as well.
