University Recreation and Wellness Center

There are some expansions at the university rec center, some of the new features will include a new lobby, an expanded fitness center, an outdoor area, more multipurpose rooms, a full service cafe, more office space, an elevated track, multi activity courts, wellness resource center (massage studio, non-invasive health screenings, body composition testing room), an indoor cycling studio, and larger locker rooms. When walking passed the rec center you can clearly see all of the construction going on and it is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2013. The past few weeks there have been some issues at the rec center, where there have not been enough fire exits. Not being up to proper code, they have had to limit activities to certain areas. Just another example of construction interfering with our lives, but in the end the new rec center is going to be beautiful!
