Free conference on immigrants and health
The School of Social Work is hosting a free conference on a partnership approach to promote health and mental health literacy and to reduce disparities amond immigrant and refugee communities. The conference will be held May 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Continuing Education and Conference Center on the St. Paul campus.
The primary goal of the conference is to bring together researchers, community practitioners and community members to share knowledge and information and to engage in partnerships in order to adopt culturally appropriate approaches to deal with health and mental health disparities, especially among immigrants and refugees in Minnesota.
