Study Abroad?

I think yes! I've started to look for study abroad programs, and I found two really neat ones! Both of them adventurous ones! A good break from studies, yet studying at the same time! Both of them will be during Winter Break, which is even better for me, because I cannot afford to go abroad during the year. I may also go abroad in May too, since I found out, even after I graduate, I can still go abroad one more time! I'm super excited!

I've study abroad once before, but that was back in High School, and I'll have to say, it's one of the best experiences ever. I went to Spain in the summer of 2008 with my high school, and it was just AMAZING! The best thing that I did as a high schooler, and I really want to go back to Spain one day, hopefully, soon, after I graduate that is.

I remember, I had a diary that I wrote in every night before I went to bed, and I still have it! I was in Espana for about 17 days, not too long, and not too short. By the end of the 2.5 weeks, boy, was I ready for home! I'll have to say, coming home to warm hugs, and kisses from my baby brother was the best thing ever! It was funny seeing him trying not to cry, at that time, he was about 2 years old and super attached to me, so it was hard for me to leave him, but it turned out just fine.

While I was in Spain however, I did call back home, almost everyday, if I remember correctly, if not it was like every other day. And I will tell you, if you're half way across the globe, and away from home, boy, do you miss home a lot! Thankfully though, my high school group felt like family to me, so it worked out perfectly fine. I became super close to everyone who went, we were with each other 24/7. No joke!

I will say though, playing the waiting game of the trip coming, was tough, because I was uber excited, I hardly slept that early morning we left for Spain, and coming back, it was another waiting game, by the end of the trip, everyone was ready to come home.

If you've never study abroad before, do it. It will be one of the best things you'll ever do. Whether it's in High School or in College, it's an experience of a life time, and something that will stay with you forever!
