Study Abroad,
The other day when I was at my other job, I ran across an interesting professor from a different university who talked me into going abroad with them. I can't say how excited I am, because it's all that I can think about right now, going abroad. I'm already taking steps to go abroad.
This time when I go abroad, it'll be my second time going, and I'll really be able to have so much more fun! The last time I went was in High School with the Spanish department for about 2.5 weeks! Definitely something that I don't regret doing!
I couldn't be happier, now that I am going to go abroad, I just have to find ways to finance it, which I'm not too worried about since I have plenty of time to find scholarships. If I apply for the scholarships at the U, I should be able to get up to about $5,000, leaving me with about $11,000 left to finance. Which then I can also continue to apply to other scholarships as well, and get even more. And to say the least, financial aid will also be helping me cover a bit of the cost. This is probably about the only thing that I'm really nervous about right now, is just financing it, otherwise, I'm willing to take those loans, and go abroad, though I'd rather steer away from them. I'm going to have to soon, use my friend "google" to look up possible scholarships now.
But even before going, I've got a lot on my hands to do. I have to apply to the program, get the program approved by the Learning Abroad Center, get course work approved for credit, make sure that I get transfer credits, and also make sure that those come in on time so that I can graduate on time.
All I can say is, that I am so pumped, excited, and ready for this trip. By the way, that means I'll be missing out on Spring semester for the program that I help run, but it's truly time to hand the reins over to the next program coordinators, and move forward with my life.
Thailand, I will see you in about 7 months if everything works out!
