Dante Cicchetti, McKnight Presidential Chair, William Harris Professor of Child Development and Psychiatry, has been elected to the rank of AAAS Fellow by the the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Each year the AAAS Council elects members whose efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished. Dr. Cicchetti is being honored for groundbreaking research in the fields of developmental neuroscience and child psychology, impacting theory and practice related to child maltreatment, depression, and developmental psychopathology.
