Karen Miksch, Associate Professor in the Department of Postsecondary Teaching and Learning, presented on November 16th at the annual meeting of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) in Charlotte, North Carolina. The symposium was entitled "Meeting the Policy Challenges of a Technology Enhanced Future: State Open Records Act Requests, Email, and Text Messages. " Along with her colleagues Jeff Sun (University of North Dakota) and Neal Hutchens (University of Kentucky), Professor Miksch argued that recent open records act requests targeted at individual faculty members may have a profound impact on faculty work.
