Tucker Center scholars publish on Title IX progress

LaVoi, Ph.D., lecturer in the School of Kinesiology and and associate director of the Tucker Center, and Tucker Center Affiliated Scholar Cheryl Cooky have published a feature article, "Playing But Losing: Women's Sports After Title IX," in the American Sociological Association's (ASA) Contexts quarterly journal. Cooky and LaVoi explore how major inequities remain, especially in terms of media attention, distribution of institutional resources and opportunities to coach and lead in the world of sport.
