CEHD academic advisers travel to Ireland and Scotland for Learning Abroad Center site visits
Kirsten Collins and Anna Mraz, academic advisers in CEHD Student Services, recently visited students participating in May session global seminars on Scottish literature in Edinburgh and leadership and social change in Belfast.
"Both Kirsten and I were very impressed with each global seminar. The University faculty leading each program were very engaged and passionate about the material they were teaching, and it seemed that to have students learning the content in each specific setting was very powerful," says Mraz.
They also visited the University of Glasgow to learn about other study abroad opportunities for University of Minnesota students. Collins and Mraz were chosen to attend from a competitive pool of applicants from around the University. The Learning Abroad Center site visits are designed for advisers and career professionals to promote learning abroad among their advisees.
