The University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) has selected Lou Quast, associate chair in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD), as the 2012 UMAA Faculty/Staff Volunteer of the Year, which recognizes "an exceptional individual who has volunteered time and talents--above and beyond his/her work responsibilities--to engage alumni through their active participation and leadership of programs and activities that support his/her college and the Alumni Association." He will be recognized along with other honorees at the annual UMAA Alumni Awards on Oct. 11 at McNamara Alumni Center.
