Omari appointed to University of Minnesota Board of Regents
Abdul Omari, a Ph.D. student studying comparative and international development education in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD), was approved by the Minnesota State Legislature to serve as the student regent on the University of Minnesota Board of Regents. Omari said his top priorities include having affordable tuition and ensuring access to in-state students.
"It's really important to find ways to grab as much of the talent in the state as possible and really find pipelines to grab minority students in the state," he previously told the Daily. "That's definitely something [the University] needs to find interesting ways to do."
