Twin Cities Rise (TCR) Empowerment Training

hand1.jpgThis morning I attend the first of four empowerment training presented by the Twin Cities Rise. TCR is a non-profit organization in the Twin Cities and its mission is to

 

"provide employers with skilled worker - primarily men from communities of color in the Twin Cities area - by training under and unemployed adults for skilled jobs that pay a living wage of at least $20,000 annually".

 

TCR collaborated with the Page Education Foundation and the Travelers Foundation mentor-ship program to launch this empowerment training for mentors (employees of Travelers) and their mentees (college students). The empowerment training is focus on improving personal success based on research findings.  Training topics are:

1.      Self-Awareness

2.      Emotion Regulation

3.      Empathy and Understanding Others

4.      Relationship Management
