We were pleased to have over 220 cooperating teachers, teacher candidates, university supervisors, university faculty, principals, student services staff, and co-teaching specialists attend the Foundations workshops held in the Science Teaching and Student Services Building on campus. Students and cooperating teachers involved in CEHD's elementary education and secondary social studies initial license programs learned about the co-teaching model for mentoring during student teaching, as presented by Dr. Bacharach and Dr. Heck of St. Cloud State University. The Teacher Education Redesign Initiative (TERI) in the Educator Development and Research Center (EDRC) hosted the event for all involved in Fall 2011 placements of teacher candidates in TERI Partner Network schools that will be implementing co-teaching.
