Volunteer Teachers: Battle Creek Recreation Center, Geography Club

Battle Creek Recreation Center has a need for a Geography club. Our neighboring elementary school is being very supportive of us starting one and are willing to help us promote it to our community and their students. We are looking for college students to volunteer hours to help us get this program started. The club will meet on Thursdays (tentative) for 8-10 weeks starting in January. The time that we are looking at is 3:45pm - 4:45pm. If the volunteer teachers think that it needs to be longer than an hour then we can go two. Each night they would focus on a specific country, its culture, climate, food, currency, etc. The first night focuses on just reading a map, etc.

If you are interested, please contact: Laura Winge, Child Care Program Coordinator,Battle Creek Recreation Center
(651) 501-6388.
