Re-Creating Sustainable Indigenous Communities in an Environmentally Compromised 21st Century: A presentation by Dr. Gregory Cajete

Dr. Gregory Cajete, Tewa, Santa Clara Pueblo, author, educator, and artist, is the Director of Native American Studies & Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of New Mexico. His work in environmental science and cultural education has become a part of mainstream research and pedagogy.

He has authored a number of books including Look to the Mountain: An Ecology of Indigenous Education, Native Science: Natural Laws of Interdependence and others. He has been awarded numerous grants and recognitions both nationally and locally.


Dr. Cajete visited the University of Minnesota and gave a public lecture on March 11, 2009. Below are a series of video clips from his lecture, including the introduction, presentation, and question and answers session.
