Friday, June 12, 2009: Removing Office 2007 Compatibility Pack from Computers with Office 2007 Installed
Audience: CFANS Community
Action: No action required
On Friday, June 12, 2009, CFANS OIT will begin removing the "2007 Office Compatibility Pack" from CFANS computer systems that have Microsoft Office 2007 installed on them.
SCCM will be used to remove the compatibility packs. The removal will occur in the background with no interruption to service.
Computers running Microsoft Office 2007 do not need the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack, which was designed to allow Office 2000, XP, and 2003 to read Office 2007 documents.
