One of the first things we noticed about South Africa was the hospitality of the people wherever we would go. We're still astonished and soaking in how they live their life on a more simple scale than us. There is a strong sense of community here and giving with out expecting something in return. At the same time, everywhere you go in South Africa you will find barbed wire fences. In our opinion this holds back the idea of community and reinforces a sense of separation the apartheid left.
