  Wow haha what a critical response. Let me start of by saying im not a scientist by any stretch of the imagination. And the video was not trying to prove anything but rather I was just trying to show that there are opposing views which believe there is a possibility of some form of free will within humans. And to answer your question, I was referring to free will as a way to explain that perhaps it is not just our genetic factors and our upbringing and environment that are the only factors in determining our character and decision making....

  You bring up a good point Eddy. Free will indeed plays a role in our behavior and history. How could it not? Genetics and environment play a part in influencing our thoughts, feelings and behaviors, but we have the power to redirect our attention to what we find interesting and control our feelings and behaviors (to some degree) based on what we think is appropriate for the situation. You can certainly choose to be more intelligent, outgoing, musical, etc.. if you consciously decide to work on those traits and abilities....

  I think that many of the similarities you describe with your sister are due to your shared genes and are only made even more salient because you have shared similar environments. Your personalities might differ slightly because it is more useful/interesting/fun if you play off each other a little rather than be exactly the same. These tendencies probably took shape little by little as you preferred to be more talkative and your sister would do the listening. Together you can accomplish a lot! I would bet that if you lived in separate environments she would be just as talkative and...
