  for the most part i see something like photographic memory to be a good thing; it's something i wish i had. however, i'm not sure if photographic memory is necessarily a good thing. perhaps someone with photographic memory can occasionally feel overwhelmed by the amount of information they process? i have one example on the mind of a lady who apparently remembers everything in her life vividly, down to the date and year. what i'm interested to know is, what if two people with photographic memory have kids? do the kids have photographic memory?...

  I would also like to know the heritability of exceptional memory or what genes are involved in developing a photographic memory. I have always enjoyed the TV shows that involve characters with photographic memories or innate abilities to read people but it seems like every main character detective in every criminal justice based TV shows nowadays is extremely gifted in those areas and frankly it's getting kind of boring to watch....

  This makes me wonder if there are changes in the brain that cause this heightened sense of awareness, and if there is, potentially there are ways to naturally bring out these changes that would help enhance the intelligence of many! I think the best way to go about this would be to look at exceptionally gifted parents, and see if their children follow suit....
