Five years from now I think the topics covered Stress, Coping, and Health will be things that resonate with me. Although all the topics covered were relatable on some personal level, stress is something that has been present in my life for a while now and will continue to be present for some time. Learning about the different kinds of stress and what effects they have on our bodies and health was really interesting.

The part that will stay with me five years from now will be the coping methods that were discussed. The different ways to gain control were really interesting. I had heard about many ways to deal with stress in general, like exercise, meditation, and spirituality, but the controls discussed in the book elaborated the reasoning behind those common stress relievers.
It was also really interesting to read what kind of medical solutions there were to stress. I knew about the more well-known ones, like chiropractic medicine and acupuncture. The medicine that I was unaware of was the vitamins, herbs, and food supplements. Since body health is such a huge factor when it comes to stress levels, these medicines make sense now, but they are simply things that didn't come to mind when I thought of ways to help relieve stress.

It's interesting to hear the rationales behind why coping mechanisms for stress are so effective. As students, we experience stress on a regular basis and developing techniques to cope with stress are undoubtedly important. I'm glad it was a topic covered within the scope of this course and hope it continues to be a focus in the field of psychology.

This is indeed an important part of life because stress will most likely be present in people's lives at one time or another. I like the more traditional methods of dealing with stress rather than the medicinal but that is just a personal preference. I think people should know how to deal with stress so that they are not overwhelmed by it when they experience it in life.

Stress is always related to our life that we always think about it or get it from our life. For me I was very interesting that when book talked about controls discussed elaborated the reasoning behind those common stress relievers. I will forget many of things from five years from now, but the topic stress will be the last thing I’ll forget.

Are there certain strategies that you think will be more helpful to you?

Because it is the end of the semester, the topic about stress and coping with it definitely catches my attention. People have their own ways to relieve stress. In my case, when I get extremely stress, I use to bring my mp3 player, get out of the room, and walk until I feel better. I wonder why people react differently towards same stressful situation.

As students, it seems that many tend to think we are more stressed than most people. In reality, life is always going to be stressful, we just need to find a way to deal with the stress in productive ways.

I agree with burke545; we all think we're so stressed with papers and exams and juggling everything else college has to offer, but at this time in our lives we have surprisingly few responsibilities and are free to choose how much or how little to be stressed about. My siblings are always saying "If you think you're stressed now, try living in the real world", but for now I'm happy to be in college and focus on academic stress instead of the real world.

We are students, and I think stressed more than or at least as much as many other people. Learning about some of the solutions to stress and ways to manage it have been helpful.

I agree with with almost all of you in that learning about stress and stress relief as students in an invaluable skill. It not only will help you through college but later on in life as well.

I agree with you almost everything. Living as student is impossible to have stress free. We always have stress from school work or money problem and other many things. But if we learn about the stress and learn how to deal with it while we are in school it will help us in the future life.
