The Northwest Treeplanters and Farm Workers United or Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroest (PCUN) was founded in 1985 as Oregon's union of farm workers, nursery, and reforestation workers. In 1992, PCUN launched a successful nationwide boycott against grower-owned NORPAC, Oregon's largest food processor. The Farmworker Association of Florida (FWAF) is a membership organization consisting of 6,500 farm worker families. FWAF is concerned with wages, benefits, working conditions, pesticides, field sanitation, disaster response, immigration, and other community-based issues. Centro Campesino is a local non-profit, membership organization formed by migrant farm workers as a response to problems they face in their working and living conditions. The Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) is both a social movement and a labor union. They battle for justice for those who have been marginalized and exploited.
