Today I worked with Josh to update the subject tree for the BMI study to see which gaps we still need to fill. I also called 2 participants to reschedule their appointments that they were unable to attend earlier last week. I then continued calling both 4 and 6 year olds and was able to schedule one 6 year old female. I also spoke with a woman whose 4 year old son qualified for the study but she needed to check with her husband first to get his permission. Another women I spoke to asked me to call her back on Friday because she needed to check if her daughter would be interested in participating. This reminded me of how important it is to get consent from both the parents and the children when you are conducting research with minors. Josh also showed me how to update the entries in the IPP and remove any participants that no longer wanted to be a part of the database.
