Today was a long day at CNBD! I came in this morning to help run a session. Since just Anita and I were running the session, I did the sibling and maternal testing for the DCCS and Flanker. The dad also came in for the session, so he was able to watch the baby while I tested the mother and Anita did the rest of the sibling testing. After the session, I burned and mailed DVDs to families who had requested videos of the older sibling completing the tasks. Afterward, Anita showed me how to enter two more questionnaires - so I will still have more to do next week! I also entered the rest of the maternal and infant questionnaires for the 3 month visits.

Today I came into CNBD to work on more data entry for the Infant Feeding study. Anita is hoping to have all of the data entered by the end of next week, so after today I am up to date on all of the questionnaires that I have entered. For the taste perception task, there were a few subjects that did not have the time that the task occurred entered, so I will have to email Anita so that we can estimate the time. I spent the most time today entering both sibling questionnaires (the CBQ and the CEBQ) and entering the calories eaten during the taste perception task, and the time that the mothers spent fasting before the task.

Today at CNBD I helped with an Infant Feeding session and continued working on data entry for IF. I am up-to-date on all of the questionnaires that need to be entered, except for the sibling questionnaire and entering information from the Taste Perception Task.

Today I came in to help with an Infant Feeding session. Before the session, Anita showed me how to enter a few more questionnaires. One of the questionnaires that this study is using is the CBQ, which I have entered for psych distancing and PDEF sessions. I ran the taste perception task with the mom. It is interesting what "suspicions" the participants have after the taste and before the debriefing. Some moms report that they think that the food tasted less flavorful - I wonder if this is just a product of them focusing on what they are eating.

This morning I met with Anita so that she could show me how to enter a few more of the IF questionnaires. Later, a family came in for a visit and I ran the EF tasks and the Taste Perception Task with the mother. After the session, I continued entering data.

On Thursday I went to an Infant Feeding session at CNBD. Anita showed me how to enter two of the questionnaires, so I worked on data entry until the family arrived. The mother brought her 3 month old and two siblings, so I sibsat while Anita measured the infant. Anita also ran the DCCS and Flanker with the mother, and I ran the Taste Perception Task. I had a great time playing with the 2- and 4-year-old siblings. It can be really fun to get the chance to interact with children in the lab in a more relaxed setting!

I worked on calling for the Psych Distancing and Cathy. I got 2 scheduled, and a couple more that i emailed her about for those who were interested but not quite ready to schedule yet. I went through the entire list, and most families didn't answer! Must be a bad time. Hope these help out.

Today I entered the EF conflict scale for subjects 17 through 71 in the Infant Feeding study. I have been using the excel spreadsheet template, and was not sure what to put in for credited rule checks so I emailed Megan.

Today I worked on the Infant Feeding Study. I met with Megan at 10:30 and she showed me how to enter the DCCS into the excel spreadsheet template (instead of in SPSS). I watched the first Infant Feeding session at 11, and then ran the DCCS, Flanker, and Taste Perception Task with the mother in the second session. I was nervous about debriefing the mother about the deception, but she seemed very comfortable.
